Whenever something she has said comes back to you just go, "Yeah, she said she was going to start telling people that." and drop it. or "Yeah, you're the third person this week that I know of that she's said that to." or "Oh, well, I guess she did mean it when she said she was going to tell people that."

You just have to be the bigger person and not respond with saying something bad about her. If you keep your cool everyone will see that she is the crazy person and will see that it was all spiteful lies. You don't need to go into details to defend yourself. Time will show people who you are and they will figure out she lied about everything.

Do the right things and people will soon realize that she is a liar, and she will look bad.
If you say or do anything in response, you may look bad.
So: ignore completely, or say "neutral" things about her if anyone pushes you (I have been divorced for 3 months, she is still adjusting, I understand she talks about me....).
Let the rest come and go like the seasons...
soon she will run out of steam.... :o)

No don't respond, the people that matter, therefore know you, won't believe her any way and they'll see her for what she really is, miserable.

there is an old saying....ignorance is bliss...and it's true...ignore it like it isn't happening and it doesn't bother you...
pity her...the divorce is obviously causing her a lot of pain if she is lashing out like that...
