no dear, I would never call you a fool. The best things in life are the things that don't come easily. The things you have to fight for or even just wait for a little. Makes you appreciate them more. Don'tcha think?

That's not something you wait for, you have to work for it.
And the phrase 'only fools wait' might be tied with the opinion that.. Okay.. For example you save your money for an emergency, waiting for it to happen, then nothing happens for years, so you buy a new toy, and your car gets rear ended.

Well...I wait on the water to boil. I wait on the corn to pop. I wait on the iron to get hot. I wait on the same ol' reruns to stop. I wait on the waiter to arrive at my table. I wait on the very slow cashier at Walmart. I wait on the light to change. I wait on the cable guy...the phone repairman and the doctor to see me. Been waiting on the Publishers Clearing house van to show up at my house with that big ol' check, for years. We are all fools both by choice, and not, don't you think?
