Probably have to say Cube, his early solo albums are still better than most of the best albums of the last ten years. Amerikkas Most Wanted, Death Certificate etc, are all time classic West Coast Albums.
Dre's albums are classics, but he cannot himself be classed as a great rapper, but he definately may be the greatest producer from the West. Tupac would be up there, but he wasn't from the West, simply represented the West. The one with the most potential to become the best from the West ever is easily The Game.

thank you 'King Midas' for pointing out that tupac is orginally from new york (east harlem)...Therefore i'd say ice cube is the best rapper from the westcoast ever..you could also make an argument for dr. dre., eazy e, and/or snoop dogg...present day; the best is the Game
