I was running CCleaner and I was unistalling some useless programs and many of those would require to restart the computer. With the last thin I've unistalled, it restarted my computer and when I put my password to access my xp professional account, it just wouldn't let me!
It says: you can't log in due to this error: parametre incorrect. Trust me I've tried it a zillion times I don't know what to do I need my computer! I can't access through other account because mine is the only one! Please help!

Marshall, that didn't work. Same error appears after ctrl+alt+supr and putting administrator in the new window dialog

does it say "Logon error parameter is incorrect"?

sound like you need to start in safe mode.
restart the computer and KEEP tapping the f8 key while its loading (before you see the winxp screen)

you'll see a black and white screen.

you could choose "start in safe mode" and try to get in and do a system restore
(start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore)

if safemode doesn't let you in, restart and f8 back into this b/w screen and try "start last known good config" or something like that

nice answer marshall, never though of that

when the the login screen appears press ctrl+alt+del 2 times
on the login box that appears type administrator as username
and leave the password field empty. and press enter.

This works in most cases but it may or may not works with u.

You might have to reinstall XP. Just save everything you have on the computer onto another drive (if you can) and then put your Windows XP disk back in to reinstall.
