I drive a skoda superb as a taxi and i dont believe you can punish a car more than that,now that vw is building them you get all the reliability you would expect from say a passat(built on the same frame and running gear)well fast economical on diesel comfortable and oooh soo spacy, tons of room inside and in boot,handles well too,downside just like vw spares are a bit on the pricy side but if you do less miles than a taxi you should be ok if i was given the choice of one as a family car i would say yes thankyou.

Excellent cars. don't own one, but have driven one (Skoda Fabia diesel) and was very impressed.
Why spend more for an equivalent Volkswagen, or worse still, an Audi, when you can get the same car for £££ less with a Skoda badge on the front.

Not because "funny" people keep asking, is that a skoda, honestly?
Skodas are the same as any other car to be honest.

I had a 1970 Skoda, on no account had any issues yet human beings nonetheless took the p***. even however engine or gearbox issues & terminal rot have been easy with maximum Ford & Austin stuff... human beings have short concepts: Skoda gained their classification interior the RAC rally for 17 (sure, SEVENTEEN) years in a row.

Yes as previously pointed out they were world rally champions in there class for years and good enough to compete with the likes of the B specials . Also they would rev on to about 8000. A great fun car to drive as well and I hear the new models are used by the police for high speed pursuit.

Buy and new skodas but avoid old ones because they are so thirsty

Yes.
They are good cars, good value, well built, and an intelligent choice.
I'd rather live with the image of the driver of a modern Skoda (intelligent, open-minded), than the driver of a modern BMW (pushy, rude, etc.)

Skoda is another name for volkswagen.I own a skoda fabia,Really good car,Recommened skoda to anyone.
