Youre sitting in the dentists chair, theres that alphabetic white board down yonder, a million lightyears away from you.

He asks you to read the first row, second row etc.

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GUESTIMATED / LIED about the letters, and do you think you got them right, or do you think the dentist thinks youre a real DumbAs s?

The DENTIST doesn't have those boards. The optometrist knows I guess and encourages it. It tells him a lot if I confuse a C for an O or if I'm so far off that I call it an F.

The dentist?! Why the hell would I have to do a reading test at a dentist. I always do those tests at the eye doctor!

I have lied at those tests almost every time I take them, and I'm sure the doc thinks I'm a dumby.

Why is the dentist asking me to read the rows on a whiteboard? Is it some new hypnotizing anesthetic procedure?

If the dentist is checking out my sight, I'm getting a new dentist.

The dentist NEVER asks me to read a letter board. He just says, "open wide".

My dentist is too busy checking my mouth to check my vision. But next time I see her, I'll ask for a free vision check.
