laptop durrr. PDA's are hard to use and very specific about which programs you can use. Computers can just do more, And having a full keyboard is so much better than any touch screen or cramped "full keyboard" a PDA can provide.

and finally, when you have a laptop you look like a hip young collage student or business professional, with a pda you just look like a geeky guy who likes gadgets.

p.s. get a macbook.

I would go for a laptop because even though a PDA would have lots of features I think a laptop would be a better choice in the end because it would have more power to help you with your job and things like that.

Interesting question... and given the INCREDIBLE advancements in the PDA/Phone mix I'd be VERY tempted to go with a PDA: smaller and easier to carry about.

However, at MY age... I need a laptop for the keyboard and larger fonts !! I just can't read most PDA's anymore !!

WOW I remember having to carry a PDA (non-wireless), a Cell-phone, AND a laptop (non-wireless) to work back in 2000 !

I'd get a PDA, for me, more usable things on it than a laptop, laptops are still bigger and usually more money for a good one. I find that I would never use a Laptop or a computer for that matter for storing things like addresses and just for writing down memos and such. Much more convenient than a laptop, no boot up time.

I would go for a laptop...

Sure, with a PDA, its smaller and more useful to take around, but i have a PDA and it's fussy to install software onto it...

I would have preferred a laptop meself...

Laptop. Everyone seems to have PDAs these days. Although they probably make life easier, laptops seem less intrusive and you don't have to have it on your person all the time.

depends on what type of usage ur gonna have! if u need to type in loadz of things then a laptop definitely! similarly if u have to work in a mixture of environments like outdoors and indoors then even i wud prefer a laptop. But if its totally outdoors i would go for a pda due to it being easy to carry and secondly due to battery life!

PDA's are fairly limited on what you can do... I'd go with something that could do everything that I wanted, which would be a PC.
