Do you think it's wrong for a seller on Ebay to charge me $20.00 to ship a box of 25 CD's (in their boxes) from South Carolina to Florida? I mean, does that sound a bit high?

There is a feature on Ebay to report a shipping price problem, such as you speak.

Depends on how hes shipping it. 25 CDs are kinda heavy.

That sounds high, but given the weight of CDs in the plastic covers, 20 CDs would be a heavy surcharge.

Ask yourself: do you REALLY want the CDs? If yes, pay the $20 shipping. On the other hand, I'd be more concerned with the condition of the CDs. Anytime you buy second hand discs, you're bound to have a few that aren't in good condition. Are you able to return them if they're not in good shape, and if so, will you have to pay that shipping as well?

Just a few things to ponder over.

Hello,
Just take the whole price into consideration. Many sellers will simply raise the shipping price but lower the actual price to save money on fees. For instance, you might see a pack of cd's for 0.01 with 10.00 shipping. This just means the seller wants 10.01 total for the item. It is no different than offering $10.00 cd's with 0.01 shipping. It just helps the seller keep the high fees down. So take the total price into consideration, then if it is a good deal do it.

Well it depends on how they intend to ship the CDs. What shipper are they using....Fedex, UPS, United States Postal Service? What method of shipping within these companies are they using.....Priority Mail, Ground shipping, overnight? How much will the package weigh? Plus, what is the cost of the shipping materials along with the handling going to cost? Finally, what are you paying for the 20 CDs without the shipping and compare it to what you would spend if you went to the store and purchased these same CDs. Once you have the answers to these questions, come back and state it here and then I can give you a viable answer to this question.

ebay sellers are raising the cost of there shipping to make more money. So that way they can put a lower reserve in the product and ebay doesn't charge them as much for selling the product.
