i have two bamboo shoots growing in a pot. while i was gone the pot tipped over and one shoot broke in half and the other has a little cut in it. will the live and grow??
they are about 8 inches and 1/4 inch in diameter

the cut is vertical and is about 1/4 inch long it is closed

Vertical cut in a bamboo is nothing. Also if the bamboo has the root system and the energy, such a loss should be replaced in days.

It will live. Keep it in a pot as some Bamboos want to rule the World !

yes, and when it takes over your yard you will wish it had'nt. My cousin can't get rid of it and swears they could use it to build a jail cell.
