depends. if you're a teacher, kids love you if you get down to their level and teach, but don't punish. You can tell them not to do it, but don't punish like detention or anything. If you give punishment like that, it just makes your job harder because the kid doesn't want to listen ot you. If it's an X-friend or something that's acting really bitchy for no reason, go right ahead and roll 'em

I prolly hate it more then my kids do. But if they got it coming, then well i dish it out. And the severity of the punishment all depends on the severity of the crime.

Always did it whenever my kids needed correction. Wasn't nasty about it, no abuse. But my kids knew that they weren't going to get away with stuff.
My kids aren't sitting in the county lockup, either.
