Every time I switch off my PC, I have to re-install my sound card. When I turn it on, sounds like windows logon and MSN alerts work, but music and videos dont and when I try and open things like iTunes I get a problem with audio/video config error.
If i double click the speaker in the task bar it says no active mixer devices available.
My sound card still appears in device manager.
Re-installing the driver app fixes this, but why do I need to do this after every reboot?
PS this start a while ago so I cant system restore point.

I've rolled back driver, which didnt help. And tried installing with antivirus etc disabled. Non of these helped.
I cant disconnect the sound card as its not an actual card its built in to the motherboard.
