A tribe normally means a group of people who have common genetics although occasionally people may be adopted into a tribe although they lack the similar characteristics. Native Americans are the best example of this, e.g. Apache, Hopi, Cherokee, Seminole. The aborigines of Australia also have distinct tribes. (I have a brother who although born in England has been adopted into a tribe as an honorary uncle)

Caste refers to one's status in society. Originally, it came from India, where, since time immemorial, people had been divided into groups that had or lacked certain privileges. For example, Brahmins were the educated elite (and that word is often used to describe those in Western society who are considered to be both highly intelligent as well as affluent.)

Lower on the scale were artisans and laborers of different kinds.

At the very bottom were the "untouchables" who were forbidden to be educated and were condemned to do the filthiest jobs, such as cleaning lavatories, butchering carcasses and burying the dead. Other castes were forbidden even to touch them and they could not marry anyone not in the same caste. This condemned the untouchables to remain forever at the bottom of society without any hope of improving their lot in life.

Although the caste system was officially abolished in India many years ago, it still maintains a hold in many areas. Consequently, smart people of lower castes send their children abroad to be educated where they often remain and take citizenship in those countries, Britain, Canada and the USA being the most favoured, Once established, the new citizens are able to bring their families to a new life in a society where caste does not exist.

This perhaps is one of the greatest benefits of colonialism!

And the countries to which those people have emigrated have definitely benefited from the talent that would otherwise have been wasted.

A tribe is a group of related individuals with a common heritage and outlook, usually sharing hte same commonalities as regards religion and morality.

Caste on hte other hand has to do with social standing and one's place within society. As an example, Hindu society traditionally had four distinct castes, with the 'out-castes' (untouchables) being regarded as not being worthy enough to be in even the lowest caste.
