Firstly how come Indian Embassy is involved in such a marriage were both of you are Indian, secondly both of you belong to same religion i.e. Muslims. You both are of age of puberty (bulugh) hence you don't require consent of any guardian in you marriage. You are not related to each other under any degree of prohibition as provided under the Muslim Shari’at law. You both are of sound mind. So what's the problem in this marriage? Take two adult male witnesses (gawahi) along with you to the Qasi entitled to perform any Muslim Marriage, fix the terms of Maher (dower), make a ijab (proposal) & qubul (acceptance) directly or through wakil (representatives) before the witnesses (gawahas), qasi will record this Nikha (marriage) in his book of records for this purpose & issue you a marriage certificate (nikahnama) to this effect. In this whole processes where do parents come in picture tell me now. As far getting this Muslim Marriage or Nikha registration is concerned that you can get it done on the basis of this Nikahnama or marriage certificate issued by the qasi having signature of both of you as well the two adult witnesses (gawahas) when you return back to India according to the available law & procedures for registration of Muslim Marriages or Nikha. Hope this will be enough information for your marriage.

It depends who her parents are . If they are Indians then no problem. now you have added that both of you are Muslims, , it actually is easier. All you need is one or two witnesses, and go to local imam, or marriage registry office and do the ceremony. in case if they have a system of marriage license, then both of you need to fill one up, and the next day you can get married. No need to involve any embassy . According to law if you are over 18 , you don't need any-body's permission to get married. Also the expenses are very minimal. Marriage license may cost you may be $25.00, and whatever the imam or Qazi charges you, you can ask for a bargain there. Your wife does have to pay Mehar,(dowry) in Cash ,she can forgive that amount.

For a court Marriage you could actually register yourself at the UAE's embassy itself under Special Marriage Act even before you land into India and then for your satisfaction come to India and get married in the temple.

As long as you are 18 you can do whatever you want. Regardless of how your parents feel, anyways that is how it is in the usa

Caste and religions are man made!

As long as there is love and it is not based on emotions, you should go ahead with your plans.

Good Luck.
