I like this detached building which is a listed property.It says Grade II double fronted mid victorian 5 bedroom house.It is in in a newly established Conservation Area

If you are asking whether it is better to buy an MLS listed property or one directly from the owner go with the For sale by Owner one. You will save in the commission the seller has to pay to an agent. Sellers can negotiate a better price for you without an agent . Just make sure you both have a great real estate lawyer to help with all legal matters and documents.

None that I can think of, unless you cannot pay for. Plus in most states you get special benefits (tax) for being a first time buyer, stuff like that.
