My I-movie made in I-movie HD is taking up too much space, how can I sort this?

Basically I created a 5 minute AMV put to some music.
It takes up 5.9 Gb of my 40 Gb harddrive.

Is there anyway to compress it or make it take up less room?
It's at a stage where I can't even send it or upload it.

Your movie must be completely uncompressed!
Save it in a compressed format, such as H.264 (mp4 file) or MPEG-2.
