I would ask the previous owners what they paid. If they dont have copies see if you can get authorization for you to check directly with the gas company. The sellers can call and get that its really not that big of a deal to get this information. We do it all the time on VA loans.

Ask the owners themselves. They should have an estimate prepared for potential buyers. We have made up a sheet for all the buyers that have come to view our home.

You can call most utility companies and they will give you a twelve month history.
