I'm thinking the yellow is actually flowers and that's an acacia. Which acacia, I'm not sure. Other thought is a Cassia of which there are several that grow there.

Final thought is a Palo Verde......in fact the more I think about the green bark, I think this might be it. Oh boy, let me think here...............Cercidium praecox, I think.

State tree of Arizona. Native tree to Arizona. Lived in Arizona for 18 years.

Blue Palo Verde (Cercidium floridum) - Blue green branches & leaves.

Foothill Palo Verde (Cercidium microphyllum) has yellow-green branches & leaves.

They flower yellow.
