You are not alone in that thought. When I saw the trailer for it on TV when it was still in theatres I thought "Hey, it seems like a children's movie, but it looks like it'd be interesting to see." Then at the end it said it was rated R. I was like Whoa....this can't be a children's movie.

It's an R-rated fairy tale for adults. The movie is actually quite beautifully done with the blend of real horror in the Spanish Civil War and the young girl's quest. It has some very haunting scenes. It's not for the weak of stomach or for immature minds.

No, that one's not for kids. It's rated R. Whoever sold or rented it to your younger sisters might have done an inappropriate thing in letting them have it. The adults in your house might want to keep watch on films these kids are bringing home and not letting them have access to films that can only confuse or scare them.

I haven't seen "Pan's Labyrinth," but from the reviews I've read and the film's website, it's plainly for grownups.

no it's not a childrens movie, as someone stated it's rated R. hollywood video had to put a sign up right by the movie stating this because a lot of parents were renting it for their children. it was a liitle more gory than i thought it would be but pretty much what i expected for a movie rated R.

The movie is rated "R" for graphic violence and some language. It is *not* the movie industry's fault that you chose to ignore/not pay attention to the ratings. They are there for a reason. Do others thing the same as you about this movie? My guess would be those who ignored the rating as well.

Next time, please pay attention to the rating regardless of genre.

It was a little weird!!! I loved Harry Potter and Narnia! I thought that Narnia would be a little scary for some kids once I saw it, but maybe thats just me! =)

I understand how you feel. I was told by the rep at the Movie Gallery that this was an adult fantasy tale. Not meant for children. It has subtitles. I am sorry no one warned you.
I thoroughly enjoyed it but was also a little disappointed because it ended rather strangely. This movie received high ratings as it was made in Mexico.

ITS R!!! How'd you not see that? its R!!!! Adults have the right to watch fantasy too. Just because its fantasy doesn't mean its for kids, it doesn't even mean kids are allowed to watch it!!!!

And no one ever said it was going to be as action packed or as happy as Harry Potter or Narnia, THAT'S YOUR MISTAKE! so don't get all upset just because you fooled yourself. The movie advertisements were completely honest what it would be like and it turned OUT GREAT!!!

I did expect it to be different but previews did give the impression it wasn't for children. I was expecting more fantasy I guess. It was still a very good movie, just trailered wrong
