I scanned my PC with the online Symantec Security Check as I consider it as the most reliable virus scanning. It detected W32.Rajump virus in 3 files and a Trojan on the 4th file. I checked Symantec's website and I found a removal tool for the first virus. Here is the link: http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2006-101916-4325-99

I downloaded it and scanned my PC but it says ur PC is free from this virus. What to do? And wat abt the trojan? I don't want to format my PC and reinstall Windows coz it makes a lot of trouble!!!!! Plz help!!!!

I always use http://housecall.trendmicro.com when you scan with it, it will remove the ones it finds, as well as tell you what you have!

Then install and keep one (antivirus) active at all times
AVG etc.

You can get a suitable anti-virus instead of security scans and all. There are some free and good ones listed here. Get one that you like, update it and then scan your computer.

Here are some other necessary security software:

Some people usually have the idea that free software aren't efficient. I just ask you to try this and then you will know why those guys are sickeningly wrong.

First forget about Spybot as it is not an anti-virus program. I use AVG Free edition for my anti-virus program works just fine. Use only one anti-virus program. As for the Trojan it can sometimes be removed by the anti-virus program if caught early enough. otherwise its reformat time and load your operating system program and all other programs.
