I am aware of quite a few places around England though not of the names of the places, a prime example would be Tower of London.

But I wouldn't go being curious, as humans it's not our job to be curious when it comes to lost spirits, unless you are of a sensitive spiritual state. And you probably won't notice the ghosts during the day unless you are spiritual sensitive.

But good luck anyways, I do admit it's hard not to be curious about such things. :)

Don't know about England (I'm Scottish) but Glamis Castle has got a fairly large collection of resident ghosts, from a piper on the battlements to a deformed 'thing' that moves around in the attics, supposedly the abnormal child of an early Duke.
Edinburgh is also good for ghosts. Mary Kings Close is a narrow street that was closed in during an outbreak of plague and forgotten about, leaving the residents to die alone. It's supposed to be haunted by a wee girl.
But there's hundreds of different places. Come over and have look.

You may wish to either buy or ask your local library for a copy of "Gazetteer Of British, Scottish, & Irish Ghosts." by Peter Underwood. ISBN 0-517-49201-6.

It's a fine read and could be quite a guide if you ever have the chance and time to seek out the places it portrays.
