OMg that is creepy. How does that help to understand child development? Its a freakin' ROBOT! Its an extremely ugly robot kid. What kind of toddler is just over 4 ft tall and 73 pounds?! THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE A REALLY OBESE TODDLER!!! I mean it moves and crap but does it tell us the answer to life? no. does it really tell us about child development? no. it doesn't even make smoothies!!! its a pile of wires and plastic formed into "a robot". i mean for god's sake it doesn't even talk!!! they have toys for little kids that say "i love you!" and crap like that. but not this piece of junk. i say rip it apart to make a fararii, at least THAT will put it to good use.

The fascinating part is in order to program it,don't they first have to know the ans. to the ques.? The creepy part is why don't the scientists just ask parents how their kids developed,instead of making a replica? It just shows that not all smart people are intelligent. Sometimes science can be self limiting.

Kinda creepy
I seen at least 3-4 robots
the Asians invented and they are really creepy
one looked just like the inventor
one was just a head that made facial expressions
then there was the toddler
pretty inventive though....

huh i think it's kinda neat, pointless but neat. how come you can't learn about how a child grows by ya know watching a child grow, how's a robot gonna be any more effective? however i would sign up to raise one myself if given the chance just to see how human like you could make a robot, i don't find that creepy at all it's the humans that i worry about

Those damn Japanese scientists are always coming up with creepy and completely useless technology. They have way too much time on their hands. Seriously, who the hell needs a robot baby to explain baby behavior??? Thats what babies are for!
First its talking sidewalks, then robot babies, wheres it going to end?

They stole my goal in life...to make a robot that acts human...grrrrrr now i'm angry.(fascinating, not creepy, by the way)
