This is called the Occupational Outlook Handbook and I used when I started college to determine what career I'd like to pursue, It lists fields of study, income, and alot more information particular to each career. If you google apptitude tests you should find a whole bunch of tests you can take for your interests. I would find a good one for you but I don't have the time to sort through it right now, but the OOH should be helpful to you.
The way you use the OOH is go to the search and you can search through careers you may already be intersted in, also, you can search the careers recommended to you by the apptitude test you take.

Most colleges will start you off with some general courses.
These should expose you to many different fields/aspects.
Colleges also provide career counsellors, use them.
The goal is to find what you like to do & are good at;
because you may end up doing it for a long time.
The jobs I ended up doing, didn't exist when I was in high-school. And the pace of change is picking up, not slowing down.
