ok, this is gonna sound really goofy but i need some help letting go of the softest comforter in the world! I've had it since I was like 5 and its just so soft, I love it! But its getting close to being a rag and starting to fade and tear up. Last night I moved in bed and my leg caught onto a huge piece of it and I ripped most of it off. now i have that piece hanging off and I wanna fix it. But I have to let it go sometime. there are other softer comforters out there that I'm missing on! LoL. What should I do? Gradually introduce another blanket to myself...?

I've also got teddy bears that I need to grow up out of. If you look into my closet, you'll see just half of my stuffed doll collection. most of it I gave away, and the rest are in boxes in the garage. I NEED HELP IN NOT BEING A KID ANYMORE!

Maybe with the fabric of the comforter...make a pillow or pillow case out of it...that way you still have it to remind you of the good times...but its not a rag hanging out on your bed. As far as the teddy bears go....i am 21 and i still have a teddy bear that i love...i used to keep it on my bed (my husband didnt care) but now we have a dog so i put it in the closet so it wouldnt get ruined. Just find one or 2 teddy bears you REALLY REALLY love and keep them....There is nothing wrong with keeping a few things around for memories! Just do it sensibly!!!

Maybe you can cut enough of the blanket to use as a pillow case or just a big enough piece, hem it and use as a lap blanket. As for the other items, how about taking lots of pictures and putting them on a CD. Then toss them. You'll have the memories, without all the junk, clutter, and dust! Anything good enough you could give to some little and know she'll enjoy making memories with her "new friends." Good luck-less clutter makes your life so much better!!!

You could also use scraps of your comforter for a quilt. I'm 20 and still sleep with stuffed animal sometimes when i don't feel good. I live with my bf and he doesn't care cuz he cuddles his cat at night. growing up is overrated.

As far as getting a new comforter, redecorate your whole room and find one that you love just as much. There are so many things you can do!
