How many characters you can embroider is only limited by the size of the text. The towel isnt the problem here, its your service provider. Check with a local design, or logo type store... someone who sells products to companies that want their logo's and names put on shirts, hats, etc. The same business will usually sell team uniforms to baseball teams, etc...

You might also put an ad in your local paper, or bulletin board... you may have someone nearby that owns a sewing machine that can do embroidery, and they might be willing to do it for you.

Good Luck
