Who writes the government policies?

Government cannot assure fairness because people interfere with the best theories. Hitler, Stalin tried to implement fairness through the 'right' government policies.

Fairness will never come because those in power make sure that the fairness doctrines do not apply to them.

In the end fairness is a matter of individual perspective. Is it fair that Barry Bonds has all that talent, and I do not. I don't! Is it fair that I paid $8 to see the last Mission Impossible Movie that I thought stunk? I don't think so. But the last is a choice I made. Freedom allowed me, as an individual, that option and I choose poorly. Freedom is the opportunity to make bad decisions and the chance to make up for it. That is life and life ain't fair because in the end we die anyway. I would rather live my own way.

Yes, I saw that article as well. Did just see an interview with the Air America president though...they are slowly coming out of bankruptcy lol... The new tactic however is they are going to start using the licensing requirements to be "fair". So when a radio networks goes to renew the license they would be required to show that they are balanced for the "public good".

If we would simply follow God's commandments and take up Jesus' commission America would be a truly great nation again. Don't get me wrong, I love my country and am proud of our heritage. But you have to admit that things seem to have gone seriously awry. We fight to take the 10 Commandments out of the public square, and institute laws that allow the killing of innocent unborn children. People in the most prosperous county in the word go hungry and homeless. In 2007 there are still people being discriminated against and targeted for no other reason than the color of their skin. We have government policies come out our ears, and look where we still are. What America needs is not more policies. America needs Jesus.

Taking this statement as is, I think I have two ways in which to answer this qstn of yours: Some people don't like alot of govt interference in their everyday life and god knows, he dems are alwys being accused of trying to control people through govt policy but, if you take the laws like minimum wage (that was just signed into law), that law would never have been passed and the poorer people willing to work, would never have gotten a deserving boost in their pay, to compete with the cost of living.
The other way I would respond to this statement is that we don't need policy to dictate everything, in order to be fair to all... in fact govt policy has hurt more innocent people at times, than it has helped. What might've been thought to be the "right govt policy" in my state of WI, regarding the cost of gas, seems to me to be ridiculous. The owners of gas stations have to charge gas consuming customers, 10% more, than the standard wholesale cost. This law was to ensure that the bigger gas station companies wouldn't force out the "little guy." The problem with the policy is that it forces everybody to pay one fixed price and allows nothing for capitalist ways of thinking, which is to offer gas prices at the choice of the gas station owner, thereby creating an open market.

Fairness doesn't just happen, as a matter of fact I teach my children fairness seldom exists, so they have to work hard to level the playing field, I mean look Bush would have never made Ivy league collegees if fair were a factor, therre were literally thousands of better qualified kids and hundreds of them that actually had the money to pay as well

Fairness is a child's concept of justice. With fairness, if you bring something to school, you are forced to share it with everyone if they want it, so you learn not to bring anything extra, anything special, anything that anyone else would want while still bringing the minimum necessary to get through the school day.

What makes anyone think that it will be any different with an adult world in the government?

Is this what you want? This is what socialism offers to you.

I think she is just trying to get people to vote for her. Fairness happens when justice is given to both groups. It's not about the policy, but about the person who is in charge.

What do I think? I think Hillary Clinton is a socialist nut, far too dangerous to be elected President.

Does anyone even know what the blond who answered first is talking about?

Your biggest issue with the government is "garnished wages" ?

Don't remember seeing that much on the campaign trail.

It pisses me off, but thank God someone is acknowledging it! Can't fix the problem until everyone agrees there is a problem.

I don't care for Hillary but she's making an impression by at least trying to be genuine.
