I've JUST bought the machine so it'snot lint or anyhting like that. but I can't get the bobbin thread to come up I'm being driven mad. I THINK I've done eanything wrong. I currently have my never sewen before husband threading it up via instructions in case I've followed them wrong or and just so annoyed to be able to do it corretly

Are you bringing the needle down by hand to catch the thread? Some people just start sewing and hope for the best, but it needs to be brought up by hand. When you do, make sure your setting is on straight stitch, not zigzag, and make sure it's centered.

Make sure the thread goes into the bobbin case with the tail coming out to your left. get the thread all the way into the little slot before you pop it into the machine.

It must be threaded correctly. Get your book out and follow the directions explicitly for the spool thread and the bobbin thread..Each sewing machine is a little different so you must go by your machine...

make sure you put the bobbin into the bobbin case the right way. if it's in backwards, it won't work. when you make the first stitch, hold onto the ends of the bobbin thread & needle thread

you might have the needle inserted incorrectly. Check your instruction manual to see which way it's to go. If I get the needle backwards on my Singer, it won't pick up the bobbin thread.
