Do you think he was wrong for the way he handled the whole situation? Or do you think he was right and did the right thing?

He was wrong in doing this because it seems to me he made a verbal commitment and went back on his word. You would heve to wonder about the sincerity of his words now. By committing back to Florida, he has given up a chance to coach in the NBA for 5 years. He definitely handled the situation unprofessionally and should have said anything until he was ready to make the commitment to Orlando or the University of Florida. It would have solved a lot of problems and kept dincerity and integrity of Donovan intact.

Billy Boy, you done messed up by going back to college. Orlando has way better talent than what you will be getting this season with Florida. Donavon also lost a chance to be able to take over the Miami Heat, a job he has wanted, when Pat Riley steps down. Now Donavon, you're back at Florida where you are getting paid less and " no challenge anymore". Billy Donavon is a great coach and all, but no coach should do that to both teams. He is lucky Orlando didn't make him coach after being treated like that. Why did he really go back anyways? Was it b/c he couldn't control the NBA players or what? He had a job with a chance to coach the next big thing in Howard, which he is missing out on. He made a bad decision for going back and he handled the whole situation like a 2 year old.

The Florida Flip Flop Do Over Donovan

what billy did was right but in the wrong fashion. he should have kept it private behind closed doors, not make a circus out of it. it was obvious billy didnt want the job for the money as the old cliche goes, money cant buy happiness. billy was more concerned about his legacy. he didnt want to fail in the nba and be though of as another rick pitino, tim floyd, mike montgomery. he wants to be known as the guy who won back 2 back titles in college. so he can take the magic job and get heavily criticized or he can be treated like a god and stay at florida. think of billy as the coach K of gainesville. he did whats best for him, cant blame him for that.

i think it made him come out looking like an immature and indecisive boy. it would have been different if after a year he would have changed his mind but after 4 DAYS. he should of thought more on the situation.

He handled it horribly. He should not have accepted the Orlando position if he was unsure about staying there.
