If you have a clean floor its ok but if its carpet type I dont think its a good idea because they can swallow dust balls or other material not healthy for your turtle. And your turtle is ok without water for a quite long time like 2-7&8 days. :) good luck

RES turtles can be out of the water indefinitely but your turtle may get scared, stressed, or tired if you keep it out of its tank for more than an hour or so. It is fine to let it crawl around on your bed as long as your are watching it closely to make sure it doesn't fall off or get in any trouble. RES turtles are so cute - have fun with it!!

Turtles are very messy and smelly. regardless of a useful clear out you need to be doing a a million/4 water exchange weekly and a clear out media exchange biweekly. A primary rule of thumb for retaining turtles is 10 gallons for each a million'' of carapace(turtle shell). So an entire grown purple-ear slider could do suitable interior the minimum tank length of approximately 80 gallons. i don't propose using a separate tank for feeding like some professionals do. i think of that it reasons greater stress to the turtle(under pressure turtles at the instant are not relaxing pets) and extra difficulty to the owner. My suitable suggestion to you is to purchase an in-tank clear out or improve the water stages(turtles do not desire their water stages to be so low, they do wonderful in a three/4 crammed tank & they get greater exercising) on your tank to house a clear out. in case you want your tank to stay crystal sparkling for as long as possible your suitable wager could be to purchase a clear out in wonderful condition for 40 gallon aquariums so the water cycles faster.

I wouldn't let it crawl on your bed. RES turtles can carry salmonella. You should also wash your hands every time you handle it.

A bed is not a natural environment for turtles, and it is pretty stressful to be moving them around.

Make sure they have a great habitat and leave them there.

Uh...keep it in a tank. Turtles can spread germs and diseases. Not to mention turtles don't want to live on a bedroom floor!
