I have one acre with trees here and there. I have been blowing them with my riding mower gathering them to several areas, then manually scooping them up into tons of trash bags. Once every year in the Spring. It really kills my back just doing the scoop and trash. I can not afford to hire professional, is there better way to do this? Also how often? Thank you.

The only time you really need to rake is when the grass clippings are long. If you mow often then the grass clipping are actually good for your lawn and should be left there to decompose and add nutrients to the soil.

~remember bartering?
Now we call it" pay it forward."
you start.
here is an idea you may have your own:
supply the football team with healthy apples enough for many pies, then ask the mothers to supply their boys for bagging grass. all it would cost you are the bags and gas.
then take the grass to whomever wants it...
all they have to do is pay for the bags....and so on and so on...if you work this right you will have people picking the apples to give to the moms...think full circle ~ have fun! :)~
