Have you ever watched a dog or cat show???

Generally, I find it's because animals don't talk back like people do, hence the person can't be hurt by them. They can't deal with people well enough to forge strong relationships with them.
In other words, those people are weak. And yes, I do have a problem with people who treat animals better than other human beings and then wonder why the world is the way it is.

Because animals don't ask for much. You love them and give them a little attention and they love you unconditionally. How many people really know how to love unconditonally? An animal will love you and be devoted to you if you just pet them! I personally don't have any pets right now because I believe animals deserve more attention than I am able to give right now, but I always was bringing home strays when I was younger and those animals were devoted to me just because a few times a day I took time to talk to them and give them a pat or two.

Some care about their pets more than they care about other people because pets are subserviant, don't argue with them, and pets seem to love their owners no matter what, even when their owners abuse them they are loyal.
I do love dog & cat shows. I guess they would be close to equivalent of our beauty pageants??

I'm not into cat or dog shows but I have such a strong bond with my dog that I do care for him more than some people. He senses my moods and I love his company. It's just a shame he doesn't like it when my boyfriend gets close to me!!!!! Even after we took him to training lessons.

I'm guilty.
I like my cat way better than most of the people I know.
With the exception of my family, I'd rather hang out with my pets than with other people.

a pet cant really hurt your feelings like a human does and the pet doesnt move out when it is older. people tend to bond more with some1 who is always there...wouldnt you?

pets are as innocent as can people. our families turn on us at times as well as our pets do is true as well.
