250 songs isn't much at all. Considering my computer takes only minutes to BURN a cd, that alone shouldn't take but minutes. Just plug it in and go.

If its somewhat fast when running iTunes, then syncing should only take about 10-20 minutes for 250 songs, but if iTunes runs slow on your computer, then it could take up to 45-60 minutes. If you have USB 2.0 ports or Firewire you're looking at maybe 5-7 min or less. This also depends on the specs of your PC.
If you have USB 1.0 ports then anywhere from 15-20 min.
