I know that change takes time, but I am a wreck. I just want to be the person that I used to e so I don't end up like this again. If I change, there is a chance that I will get my old friends back, get my ex (who still has feelings for me) back, and get my family to forgive me for hurting them. I know all of my flaws, now I need to learn how to fix them. Any advice?

I used to be the happy "girl next door" type. I used to be nice and patient with everyone. Now I am opposite.

I don't know what you've done, but you've made a start in wanting to put things right again. Where I live there's a hotline which refers people of all ages to various places to get help. If you have something like that, contact them and ask if there's a group you can join that can help you get it back together. Good luck.

You can't go back. Only forward. Hopefully forward to a better destination than you reached before. Armed with the knowledge you now have you can do that. The family will come around in time. Friends and ex - maybe maybe not. But there are always other friends and a new love.

i've never met anyone who could move backwards through time (though we all move forwards through it, one day at a time). i don't know that you can ever be the 'person you once were'. but, then, why do you want to be that person? that's the person who did whatever you did, that you feel has alienated the important people in your life. isn't it better (and more likely to be able to achieve) to grow, and build on whatever knowledge you've gained from whatever happened, and become a person who appreciates the good things and people in your life, while they are there?

You should never want to be the same person again because then you have not learned anything. You should always want to better then before.
