i have a golf gl 1990 with a standard transmission NOT AUTOMATIC and when i hit the gs it clicks like something is loose. i just changed the oil. it only clicks when i hit the gas but when i make it click about 3 or 4 times then it wont do it and i have to wait a little bit fot ir to do it again.

There are 5-6 springs inside the clutch plate that take up the engine vibrations. It may simply be a broken or weak spring.

you may have a bad mount in it causing this to happen,when you hit the gas on it that would be putting it in a strain,and that could be causing the mount to give too much,that will cause the cv joints in it to make a click noise,what you need to do is have it checked out to be sure,sometimes what we think is wrong with them and what actually is,can turn out to be two totally different things all together,but i would have it checked,this way you,ll know for sure,good luck .hope this helps.
