I HAVE 2 LARGE TREES IN MY FRONT YARD. THEY GIVE WONDERFUL SHADE AND I DON'T WANT TO CUT THEM DOWN BUT SEVERAL ROOTS ARE ABOVE GROUND, AND EVERYONE TRIPS ON THEM AND I THINK THEY CRACKED MY FRONT PORCH. HOW DO I SAVE THEM? WHAT DO I DO?

Top soil. Raise your front yard a little bit. At least in the area of the roots.
Cut the ones near the porch. It will weaken the tree, but not kill it.
