I answer first.. then if I feel like it, I go back and read the other answers.

I answer straight away because if you answer the same way others answered you will be a complete copycat and I also think that the challenge of Yahoo! Answers is to put on test your knowledge and if you really are true to yourself and the ones who made questions gets notice about people with logical, original and honest answers and answers from people who answers like a complete copycat!
You have to be straight not only on answering but in every aspect of you life! See ya, Good Luck and Keep Straight!

Most of the time I answer right away, but every once in a while I like to read peoples answers first. If 10 people have answered and a good majority of them say the same thing I was gonna, then I see no point in answering.

If there are a lot of answers to a question, or I'm vaguely sure about what they're asking, I'll look at other people's answers to make sure someone didn't say something I was going to say, or see if anyone else knows what they mean. If I know, and there's not a lot of answers, I'll answer straight off.

I generally read answers first in order to see if what I can say will help, or if the question is already fully answered. What I hate the most is to see "O answers", then answer only to find out when I submit it, there are 20 or 30 answers already there ahead of me. Surprise!. Good luck.

It really depends on the question. If it's an opinion thing, I answer immediately; if it's one where the questioner needs a true and complete answer, I will check to see if someone else has already said it; no point in the poor guy having to read the same thing several times.

I answer first.
Then, I read other answers.
Then, if I have been enlightened, realize that I made some kind of typo, or just was reminded of something I forgot to say, I will edit, but I will also make sure to put "**edit**" always, because that will help someone understand how I came to my conclusions who would have otherwise been confused, and I give credit to whoever reminded me if thats the case.

I answer straight away then read other peoples answers. I find it interesting to see how many agree or disagree with my answer.
