I asked about this coin once before but now I have pictures of it, is this coin an error coin?

Sorry your coin is not an error coin but a used an abused one. That price on it is a joke, I hope. It has been flattened and an X was gouged into the reverse. The coin being from the Civil War period makes it historic. As for the X I am not so sure it was made back then, or sometime in the future. It needs to be examined more to see. It was also common for Indian head cents to be used as a token for a item. The boss gave out a numbered token and it was taken say to the tool locker and the guy there gave out tool X. Remember few workers up to the 20 century could read or write. It also could just be a coin a person damaged due to boredom. Sorry it is just a damaged coin.

What makes you think it is an error coin? It looks like an used and abused 1862 Indian head cent in about good condition.

I don't see anything that would indicate that it was a civil war token either.

I agree with both BD and Taiping that it's a damaged coin. To be certain, I enhanced your scans under different sets of lighting of my digital imaging software but still couldn't find any signs of mint error. Definitely done outside the mint.
