The man is dead and the Browns are back in Cleveland if only they can get it together. A good joke about the Browns..By the way I am a die-hard fan.

Cleveland, OH (AP) -

A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Cleveland courtroom drama
yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of
him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law
and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree
possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more
than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge
then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that
they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that
domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took
the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have
custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer
with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the
Cleveland Browns, whom the boy firmly believes is not capable of beating
anyone.

Art Modell is still alive, but no longer the Ravens' owner. I was in Cleveland when the Browns returned, and I recall hearing all the Dawg Pounders boo the very mention of the man. I can only imagine that he's still treated with the same disregard today.

By the way, folks in St. Louis feel the same way about the Cards' cheapskate owner Bill Bidwell, but the vitriol isn't nearly as venomous.

I don't think he's a bad or evil man, but what he did tore out the heart of a city. It would have been different if the city did not support the team, but he took the took the team away from a loyal fan base. From what I know the players who have played for his teams over the years are fiercely loyal to him, but I will never forgive him for moving that team.

I never had a grudge with him, but I'm a Steelers fan. Oh and OF COURSE they would. Not only did he move the team BUT he won a SUPERBOWL after moving them. They STILL can't do that.

I long for the day when Art Modell is able to join his soulmate Saddam Hussein in the afterworld.
