The a/c justs gives warm air aafter some time and than alterantes to cool air after about 20 mins, or if I stop the car and start after 5 mins. The compresor is running when it blows warm air. No clue on whats going on !

I showed it to the Mechanic, He says expansion vale is not functioning, he has an estimate of $88 plus 3 hours labour $240 !!!!!

It could be several things. Take it to a shop and have it evaluated because there is nothing you can do to it anyway.

My guess, the electric fan on the condensor (skinny radiator) is not turning on.
Could be a fuse, relay, or bad motor.
