It took me a while to understand the jargon of the net, but when I did - I take full advantage of the LOL. I do love to laugh and when I use the letters, I am indeed laughing.....

LOL is a way of typing that polite little chortle you make when someone says something clever or funny that isn't really "laugh out load" funny, but it is worthy of a nod of respect or acknowledgement. I rarely literally "LOL." It's conversation filler.

I do a fair amount, but some of the time i only laugh in my head (if that makes sense) so i spose it's only letters. but it always means i found it funny - even if i didn't actually laugh.

i'm rambling now, i'll stop.

lol = smile or faint chuckle
LOL = a big grin and a giggle
rofl = a Laugh that lasts longer than 2 seconds
ROFL = Belly laugh
lmao = Belly laugh + cramp
LMAO = Belly laugh + cramp + tears in eyes
LMFAO = Fall off my chair and takes 30 minutes to compose myself
