My motiation is to try and help those who ask. I put myself in their positions and if I were them I would love to get an honest and well thought out answer. So I pour out my heart and effort to bring up the best I can come up with. I think that's also what leads to gaining a best asnwer. It also brings a little fun while earning points.

If I were to answer this question I guess my motivation would be self-humiliation, since the question (asked by a seemingly hostile and sneering inquisitor) only asks what my motivation would be if I were to provide an answer to this invalid question.
