By being too busy with work, i've forgotten that i was depressed. It helps to surround yourself with happy, positive people too.
There's only one cure for depression though. Real love. I've found that lately and so far, so good.
Good luck and I'll pray for you.

The things that depress me are usually cured by a hopeful and loving word from a good friend...sometimes ice cream and a good movie help too :)

My own, or someone elses? When it's someone else, all you can do is reassure and try to offer solutions to problems. When it's me... well, I don't get depressed very often, but when it catches me, I'll try and find a way to let it out. Talk the problem out with someone, or cry, or more often with me, I'll drive and scream along with angry music. Really helps just get the venom out.

I just think about how much worse life can be and how it will never get to that point as long as i keep up a positive attitude, that being said from this point life can only get better if you strongly make yourself believe that it will not get worse, therefore conquering depression........

depression. hmm, well depression is a case for doctors. but yes your correct NO drugs. i no a boy who commited suicide because of depression mixed with the after depression of ecstacy. but truly when i feel depressed i try looking at the world as not such a bad place. if you look atthe word as **** its gonna be ****. but if you look at it as a positive place then yeha its not such a bad place afterall. also sports, acticities ect help boost self esteem. i knwo its sound old and maybe dumb but it takes you mind off alot of crap. good luck

If you're just feeling down, then surround yourself with friends, or do something that you really enjoy. If you're feeling really depressed for no reason, then maybe you need to talk with a professional.

I seem to wallow in it, which is terrible. I've been doing the self talk thing lately and trying to pep myself up when Im down. I'll say something like "feeling this way isnt going to do anything to to help. youre just making it worse. you can sit here and be sad or just get over it. its your choice" Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesnt.
