Stop throwing immediately. Pitchers that need Tommy John surgery always complain about their elbows first. Really it's the Ulnar ligament that is hurting.
I used to have this same problem where after playing catch or pitching i wouldn't be able to hold a gatorade bottle without my arm shaking uncontrollably. Luckily it was tendinitis (or Tennis/Golf elbow whatever you prefer). Rest and ice will do the trick.
When push comes to shove Ice beats heat any day for sore muscles.

this same thing happened to me from about the age of 12 to just before the start of my last season, so about 6 years. every year my elbow would hurt when other players complained that their shoulders were sore. finally, i got a new pitching coach and he saw i was whipping my arm around instead of throwing it over the top and it was straining my elbow. so he changed my mechanics and everything worked out great. i had more endurance and after i pitched my shoulder would be sore and not my elbow. its hard to enplain what whipping it is, but i wasnt throwing over the top. he said if that didnt help to go get exercises from a chiropractor or a sports doctor, im glad i didnt have to do that. good luck,

I play softball and baseball and am a pitcher 2. I've heard from experts to ice it right after pitching and then later put heat on it. If it continues to hurt, consult a doctor. You might've pulled a muscle, also.

Stop throwing and go see a doctor. Don't try to diagnose your own case and you want to be 100% certain that there is no underlying problem. I have seen too many problems over the years that have actually ended a young players baseball playing days because of a problem that went untreated.

Try not to move it, ice it down, wrap it in an Ace bandage, take some ibuprofen or your pain med of choice. It also might not be a bad idea to rub some Ben Gay or something like that on it too. If it's really bad, and you have to pitch soon, see a doctor.

Ice it. And maybe go to the doctor. There might be a problem with your elbow that could require medical attention.

checked out what Mike Marshall teaches? May want to consider altering your pitching mechanics where you put less stress on the elbow.

Sounds like a strain. Let the doc have a look at it, you may need to rest it or some cream might do the trick.
