I have been curled up in a ball on the couch since 3 am thismorning! I have taken midol, laid on a heat pad, eaten chocolate and watched I love lucy (which granted, doesnt do anything but put me in a better mood.) What is the best way to make it all go away?

Here are my suggestions
~Buy Cura-heat.
It is a heat pack which stays on your stomach throughout the day and helps relieve menstrual cramps.
~Take a bath.
Make sure it's warm and bubbly, and put some lavander bath creme in if you have any to help relax your body.
~Eat plenty of bananas.
Bananas are clinically proven to help the pain of period cramps go away.
~Do light exercise
it may be the last thing on your mind right now, but light exercise really does help relieve your cramps. Take a 15-30 minute walk around your neighbourhood.
~Keep yourself busy.
Doing something else keeps your mind off your cramps and helps your period cramps dissappear.
~Do something you enjoy
This could be shopping or getting a facial. Anything you like. Pamper yourself!
~Keep your PJs on the radiator
Put your PJs on a warm radiator so you're warm and snuggly before you go to bed.

Hope this helped.. =) & don't worry too much about it, we all get them!

Take 2 Aleve pills every 6 hours. Do situps to release some of the tension in your belly muscles (we tense up when we're in pain, which makes it worse). Walking definitely helps. Take a hot bath. For future pain relief (if this is a normal pattern for you), try taking a calcium supplement (one of those chocolate chews or horsepills) every single day. Believe it or not, it can reduce cramping and help PMS symptoms. You should also try to start taking Aleve a couple of days before your period starts. Once the prostaglandins cause the cramping, it's harder to stop them, so preventing them from starting is the best approach.

I don't know how old you are but, I take a shot of whiskey and it seems to helps. It relaxes your muscles.
Try taking a very warm bath it helps for a while to. Get the water as hot as you can stand it. Make sure that the water comes over your abdomen.

Put down the potato chips and popcorn. Rest. Continue watching I Love Lucy. Walk around your neighborhood at a SLOW but steady pace.
