Although I have little doubt for statistical reasons that life exists elsewhere in the universe, there is absolutely no solid evidence for living things from elsewhere ever visiting Earth. The distances in space are so large that interstellar travel is extremely difficult if not impossible, at least with the technology we know.

Yes, look around you. We are descendants of Aliens.
First let me get you focused on this Theory. The concept behind this may have started with a book written in the late 1960's named; "Chariots of the Gods". The link help start you on this if you want to research in more detail. It Wiki and read the box as the article may need a rewrite. But, it can give you the names you need for more research.
Now, if anyone watches History Channel we know now that computers and clocks have been around much longer than we thought. We are just now learning a lot from Archeology.
Now back to the Aliens. Their Planet was suffering from Global Warming and to off set the effects they built Gold Shields to protect their planet. This required a lot of Gold and they mined other planets for the gold. The Neanderthals here on Earth made for a ready source of miners. In return the Aliens taught them many things and left behind some of their technology, which over time wore out and broke and was discarded and forgotten. Another thing the Aliens did was have sex with the women and of course the women became pregnant and this influx of their Genetics into the Human Race produced the next step in the Evolution of our species. So, technically we are all Part Alien.
So, from this, we can speculate that Alien Observers are here doing Research on Humans to see how the Genetic Cross Breeding has changed our destiny.

The definition of an alien is a foreigner, so if there are "aliens" here, they didn't originate here. Also, try turning your perspective for a second- we're aliens to all other species of life out there.

The universe is so huge with millions of stars and stars with planets. It could be possible to have aliens somewhere. We always look at sky for praying expecting that God could be somewhere there.
All the old religious books says the Gods and Messiahs came from heaven above the earth.

I doubt it- I mean, suppose we go to another planet with intelligent life forms on it, the first thing on our to-do list would be to contact them. So if aliens are there on earth, why haven't they contacted us?

Some believe they do. You may find sites on web under UFO interesting. Roswell New Mexico has some stories you may find interesting. Look up MAGIC12/.Area 51/and flying saucer down in Mexico,late 90s. retrieved by the US government.There is alot of interesting news out there if you look for it!
