Hey Tally,no that's not true,I had a hard pregnancy.I was stressed all the time about bills, although I was working by me living in DC I was traveling to Md. every morning.I had to be up by 4am and had to be to work at 7am.I was going through a ruff time because the guy I was pregnant by lived in a different state and he just graduated from college and he was'nt working. So I moved him here with me and he could only find temp jobs.We use to argue all the time although he's a pretty easy going guy.My labor started 6pm on a Thurs eve and I had her 4 the next morning. So it wasn't to bad.But I think it depends on your body and how well your body adjust to pain and so forth.Hope you're doing good.E mail me if you want to talk.dccuttie75@yahoo.com in case if you 4got.

Not necessarily, anything can happen at delivery. I thought I was going to have a normal delivery, after a hour of pushing I got to the point I just couldn't physically do it anymore. I developed a fever which in turn effected my baby, which was yet to be born. The doctor told me I needed to go in for a ceserean. The reason I couldn't delivery was my daughter was all wrapped up in her umblical cord. The doctor told me she might not be here if it wasn't for the c-section. There are many other reasons a delivery might not go as normal:
the baby could be in distress
placental complications
abnormal position of the fetus during birth

Well, not neccesarily. I had a pretty normal 1st pregnancy and a really terrible 1st labor. Now, I am pregnant with my second and the pregnancy has been awful, so I am hoping my labor will be a breeze ! : ) All labors are different. I wish I could give you a secret to make it easier. If you are in shape, ( which I am not with this one !) it makes it easier. Walking alot helps, keigels helps to strenghten your pelvic floor and try to get alot of rest right before your due date. Those few things can help you have a smoother delivery.

Well, sorry to say hon that just because you had an easy pregnancy, it does not mean you will have an easy delivery. However, by today's standards, it's much more likely that you will have a relatively uneventful delivery (notice I didn't say easy) vs. one that has to have a lot of emergency interventions. Good luck and congratulations!

Nope, with my daughter I had a great pregnancy, I only gained 15 lbs and then I was in labor for 31 hrs before I had a c-section.

Not for me, I have 3 boys now and am 39 +4 weeks pregnant now and from 1 to now each pregnancy has gotten worse and worse and each labour better and better and better, last one lasted just 40 mins from start to finish, the first blissful pregnancy and terrible labour so bad my little boy nearly died.

No I had a pretty easy pregnancy but when it came time to get her out she didn't want to be born. I had to be induced after 18 hours of a no progress but painful labor I had to have a c-section.

It can be that way, but just because the pregnancy and delivery are easy does not mean the postpartum will be that way.

i like your way of thinking and i hope its true, but from what i hear those who are blessed during their pregnancy are doomed during delivery. at least were having an easy nine months, and hopefully only 24 hours or so of hell. look at the bright side! haha congrats, and GOOD LUCK
