I think they have limited usefulness. The blue and white is pretty and the blue avoids being too nautical, but they aren't sporty (actually, sporty is inconsistent with a wedge since you can't play any sports in them). They also don't look comfortable for casual summer wear -- I bet you'd end up with blisters and ugly red ridges around the toe opening if you wore them all day.
I'd buy them if they were the perfect match for a particular outfit or summer sun-dress, but wouldn't wear them just to hang out.

I don't know if youmean more popular=more fashionable. If so yeh the sporty wedges suit the new sportswear trend, and the blue colour is right on trend( and would look good with taned feet). However the clunkier, at the moment, th more fashionable. Shoes like this;

were all over the cat walk, platform, cluncky thick heel, and mustard yellow. So cool.

I'm not that old but I remember something similar from the 1980's and I had a blue pair then. Guess I am too old to wear them again.

SO TOTALLY CUTE. Pair with a cute white summer dress or jeans or miniskirts. You can also pair with oranges/reds/yellows for contrast or whites/blues/purples for accenting. Will even go great with prints and patterns.
Buy them, they're SO in!
