i guess it's partly because so many people find her so disdainful, and spoiled beyond belief that they predict, and in some cases, hope to see her destroy herself.. i really truly hope she turns herself around and jail time would go a long way in that,..but nonetheless, i do feel for her..lets all encourage her instead of tearing her down..or am i wrong, and paris does indeed deserve the wrath, scorn and public humiliation she is getting?

Dude!!!!!!!!!
What is your problem? The reason Ms. Thing was all teary eyed because she feels because of her status she should not be put in jail. Also, not remorseful of her crimes. Someone could have been seriously hurt or ever worse killed. Yeah she screamed for MOMMY in court. Where was mommy and daddy when their little crackhead got behind the wheel of a car drunk.

Further more Bro if this was an average Jane doe or John Doe will you still empathize with that person? People go to jail for this type of thing all the time. Which is unfortunate ,however the don't throw tantrums like Ms. Hilton.

No one should be held above the law rich, poor, famous, black, white, green, purple, Sponge Bob.

Let's face it we all seen this coming from a hundred miles away. I am just glad no innocent bystander was hurt. It's obvious she has a problem with substances and should get the proper help. Once she completes her full 45 days of jail time.

What a lot of this amounts to is a public stoning.

I don't really feel sorry for Paris Hilton because she did break the law several times and should do her time. She is making things worse for herself with her emotional tirades and drama queen behavior.

I've taught in a prison for over 10 years and ,from what I've observed, the best way to do time is to try and obey the rules, keep busy, and "stay out of the way". Inmates don't get any sympathy from staff or other prisoners for crying and carrying on.

However, I don't believe she deserves some of these vicious attacks that I read on here. Criticism of her actions is permissible because she is in the public eye. But a lot of the criticism has been over the top as if people have a personal vendetta against Paris Hilton.

Chill out folks, Paris Hill is not impacting your lives. Please direct your rage against someone or something truly evil.

I don`t like the person Paris portrays herself to be but I do think she is a victim of reverse discrimination. People seem to think she was convicted of DUI, in fact it was only driving with a suspended license. If she was an ordinary person she would have probably been let out within the day. To send her home and then put her back in jail was particularly cruel. I know 99% of the people on here will disagree with me but look at the facts and statistics and you`ll see she is being treated unfairly.

No one deserves wrath, scorn or public humiliation for such an offense as hers. It's not like the girl murdered anyone. But that's fortunate for her because some drunk drivers have killed people. I wish her the best in straightening out her life.

Unfortunately, she is a person who has celebrity only for the reason that she is from a rich family. Most of America find that ridiculous. The media is really to blame for that. They have elevated her into something and pushed that on to us without her having to have done anything of worth to get there.

As far as her punishment goes...she did the crime and whatever the normal public would have to serve for that crime, is exactly what she should have to serve.

The person who really needs to be slammed though is the sherriff. He should go to jail for contempt of court. He is the one who violated the ruling of the court.

Yes and no, i feel bad for the girl but she brought this upon herself. She commited the crime, and her sentence was ALREADY reduced. She has it easy, attending a facility thats 10x better than the real thing. I believe she deserves every bit of it and I hate the fact that they're taking it easy on her.

Yes, she is a spoiled little rich girl, and yes, those pictures of her on her way back to jail are pitiful. And, yes, I hope she can turn her life around. That girl is messed up and needs help. The good news is that at least she can afford to get it, unlike some of us. Pray for her.

I'm amazed at all the people slagging her off when they don't know her.
She has become famous for nothing, she gives people hope that they too can make it big from nothing. Sure she comes from a rich family, but not everyone that comes from a rich family gets to be famous for nothing.
She would have to be one of the smarted person in the media spotlight. She has managed to market her self in such a way that everyone in the world wants to know everything she is up too and to see her fall and crumble.
I feel sorry for her in a way as I would for anyone having to be locked up out of their comfort zone.
I bet we will all be tuning in to see what the skank is up to next week because we can't get enough of her we all just love to hate her.
