Not if you have an epidural. Plus the odds of you having a C Section is double with the twins. So they numb you up and you should only feel discomfort, but after when you get home it does hurt. Not bad you just feel like you were beat up. Good Luck sweetie, and get as much sleep as you can now.

Of course it hurts, don't let anyone lie to you about that! But, your body was designed to do this, and you are perfectly capable of getting through it. I had my first child with the help of an epidural and it made the labor longer, and the recovery much longer. My second child was all natural and it hurt, but the worst part was the crowning (when the head surfaces), about an hour after having my second child I was on my hands and knees on the floor playing with my oldest child. I walked A LOT when pregnant with my second, and they say that really helps (I'm a firm believer!). If I did it again I wouldn't get an epidural. But, every woman/pregnancy/delivery is different, and as a little side note, I was induced with the first one, and it seems that mothers of twins get induced often because of the risks associated with having twins. I think that being induced makes it hurt worse. But, if it means that your children will be safe and more healthy - that's a benefit that will outweigh the pain. If you get a c-section you won't be in any pain during delivery, but your recovery will be more painful. Also, you're at risk of tearing (which hurts pretty badly) if you have the babies naturally, and if you can still have sex that will help reduce the risk of tearing. There are also certain massages that you can do to reduce the risks of tearing as well. Hope that helps! If you need more help go to the following website.

One word- YES. Unless you have some higher powers working in your mind like yoga stuff or you have some great painkillers. But that's what we have to suffer through to get our greatest gift in the world. After it is over in a few days or weeks, you won't even remember the pain as much and although you say you will NEVER do it again when you're having them- Your mind quickly changes after spending time with them and forgetting all of the bad stuff. I'm sorry but that's the cold hard truth. I would invest in some yoga classes, I've heard they help A LOT. Good luck :)

of course it's going to hurt, but there's plenty of pain relief out there for you to have,I've had two kids and it could'nt of hurt that much for me to have gone back to have a second child and i only used gas and air as pain relief. If you're having twins you may need to have a c-section especially if this is your first pregnancy and obviously the labour will be longer. If you've any concerns,go and talk to your midwife or doctor and they'll tell you all the types of pain relief that are available. As long as you're relaxed and feel in control you'll be able to manage the pain, ignore all the horror stories some of your friends or family will be telling you as some people are sick and like to make people squirm.Good luck and dont worry about it.

I hope all goes well for you with twins. The risk of c-sec is much higher. It hurt me some ( I had all four natural), but I've had pain that was lots worse. I've had muscle cramps that were worse than labor, and arthritis pain, and even a few hunger pains that were worse than labor. I used the Bradley method and that helps a lot to reduce the pain.

Dear Ladybug,
I've not had kids and won't for about 10 years, but there is 1 thing I can tell you. You are bringing 2 new lives into the world, and It might hurt, I have no clue, but you are creating wonderful things. I hope that they become great people, and congratulations!!!

Natural childbirth without any pain relieving meds does hurt really bad, but having an epidural helps alot. I had my first 2 children without any meds and my 3rd with an epidural and OMG it was God sent. Fear of the needle or not I would recommend the epi. Congrats.

From what I am told yes...ask you Dr for an epidermal. I am not a Dr, nor do I play one on TV; but I think an epidermal blocks the pain without putting you to sleep. Good luck and congrats!!!

Yes, it hurts. It was the worst pain I've ever endured. But then I got an epideral and I was in no pain at all. U'll be fine. It's worth it, believe me:)
