Actually, it's a 'peck' of peppers he picked, not a 'pack'..and when you think of it, how could anyone pick pickled peppers? pickled peppers are only found in jars!! a really dumb rhyme, right? but I also wonder if anyone actually has picked a peck of regular peppers, then counted them, to see just how many darn peppers Peter actually picked? and perhaps his mom or grandmother pickled them for him? who knows!!??!!?

he didn't ...... he really picked cucumbers and then let his mom pickle them. Her name was Patricia ......thus Patricia Piper pickled a pack of cucumbers..... see people just lie about the simplest things!
