paris hilton is a stupid pamper kid no brainer,she might be rich but still a kid act and let her got what she start,i would like girls and people stop think she as an idol anymore,boycot her about everything and stop talk about her also!what a trash,if i have a daughter like that i sent her to hell!!!!look at all hollywood kids,they are rude,uneducate and pamper tomuch like britney spears,lindsay lohan and now paris hilton and a lot more we do not hear yet, all a drunker and addicted,arrogant and lazy ****!

♡Ahhhhh but Miss Universe WAS in the news when it was 'fresh' news at the time. She got quite a bit of news coverage. Most people have already heard it all on that topic.
The reason Paris Hilton was featured on NHK news may be because she has a successful line of handbags sold here in Japan and has visited here many times for promotional reasons as well. That and it's 'current' news.

I think it's because Paris Hilton is world famous as she is a singer. She have lot of fans around the world following her updates. And more over, in the future run as business in involve with her. Not like Miss Universe which is only a one time happening in the life of a person/woman being crowned. Miss U was broadcast in the NHK evening news and other channels. BS has a documentary program too about her life how she'd become the crowned Miss U. So I guess you were not able to switch the channel of your remote control of the TV when it was on air. lol

Ratings... sadly more people care about the Hilton drama then who won the ms universe pageant..the fact that she was
japanese is irrelevant, if she had been white she still
wouldnt have been on there...personally i say let paris serve
her sentence and be done with it..but thats one of the problems with this Great country of ours, money and fame can get you out of just about anything,although she is back in the slammer.Its good that there are some people that still have some balls and want to do the right thing (the judge that put her back) Lets not crucify paris hilton, if you got in trouble youd be trying to find a way out too folks so dont be a hypocrite. But does she deserve what she gets yes.Just let the girl serve her time and hopefully shes learned her lesson.

NHK is not concerned about the ratings like the other networks are. They get their money through the state sponsored extortion.
That just goes to prove that even in Japan, News is entertainment.

The world as it gets more high tech means that we get shorter and shorter attention spans.
news media goes crazy on the story of the moment, and as soon as another big story comes out, its dropped like smelly garbage.
